The trial that showed no effect was one done by China and sent to WHO for publication. This positive is a NIH (NIAID) run phase 3 trial. A lot more credible.

Those who are in the know, studied remdesivir medical publications will tell you there were tons of anecdotal evidences that it should work. In fact the China study was the only negative outcome and published by WHO.
