Filter out the ones you don't want to view. Not only are they a lot of expiration dates, we also have minis and jumbos. I think it's too much too.
And I love them because I can hold to expiration more often and not have to give up the bid/ask spread on exit as well as entry. There are lots of different strategies in the world, diversity keeps life interesting!
Their Greeks will be similar, so trade based on liquidity.
Probably wont be too long before you can create your own strike and expiry. make your bid, and an offer will appear based on some market-maker's model.
If you know say earnings news is coming out on Monday evening on NFLX, all you need is to hold overnight to say Tues Noon. So on monday you ask for quote on (NFLX OCT 18 2016 @ 12:00 CALL), and boom you have bids/offers from the algos, and you can place your order.
