So I might go work for a hedgie...

I'll let you guys know when the interview is and how it goes.

Why do i have the strangest feeling that I'll be walking into a boardroom like the one on Donald Trump's apprentice while Jim Cramer appears out of nowhere and conducts the interview.

I assume the position will involve developing formulas for financial engineering. My gusses are high finance, collars, statistical analysis, TA, and god knows what else

Can anyone reconmend any books and some tips to help this fellow asshole out? :p

It would be much appreciated.

depends on the position and the strategy of the fund. you mentioned quantitative analyst, but that is too vague.

Indeed. So far the entire process has been very vague. Is that normal?

Aah, what I was for many years, before coming to my senses... You'd better curl up with Dr. Crack, then. In a rush? score it instantly, same price.

WOW! Thanks man, I owe you!

First off, good luck! Please tell me when you hear from them :)

Just curious, what does the position of Quantitative Analyst do? I thought you would have to have some type of math or programming education? But again, I am pretty green when it comes to hedgies :)
