The fact that he highlighted the 10 minutes is a good clue that he is in a Federal lockup, and abiding by their rules.

I am 100% sure there is a life insurance component to this strategy, but I do not remember the strategy name or the details. Visit for 10 minutes and find out! Give a disposable email. The worst case, unless you decide to "invest" in which case good luck to ya, is you end up on various mailing lists.

Scam. Could be one of those "market linked GICs" basically a LEAP options play with a load of fees tacked on. Best case!

He's scummy and an a-hole but completely legal. This doesn't sound legal at all, no way you can put together a set of instruments that provide 40% downside protection and 125% of gains on an index. Most probably a ponzi scheme. As @bone said, check if they're registered, if not then they aren't legit. If so, they should probably be reported.
