So a Russian piano tuner walks into my house and...

Quote from futurecurrents:

Yup, he was a gay socialist. That's why he hung out with all those guys and wanted the poor to be given help. The translation from Hebrew of "Socialist Butt Buddy" is disciple.
is it just coincidence that YOU are also a gay socialist? I doubt it.. methinks you aren't really an atheist but you try to emulate your mistaken version of jesus. be honest, you wear a WWJD bracelet, don't you?

The unfortunate thing is that we can't really know what Jesus said. He may have actually said homosexuality is no big deal. It's too bad that the spirit of what he said gets supplanted by old words. I'm sure that were he aware that homosexuality is generally not a choice, he would be tolerant, sympathetic and accepting. Modern knowledge informs us of this. It was not known during the Bronze Age.

Since leftys always leave the real gospel out... I will quote the whole passage and put my thoughts in parentheses. I should note FC should not feel too bad... every leftist focuses on the money.

The Rich and the Kingdom of God

17 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. “Good teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

( this is what most of us desire? ponce de leon etc.)

18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.
(Therefore who is Jesus and how can this rich man claim to be good?)

19 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’[d]” (this is the law - can anyone be good under the 10 commandments?)

20 “Teacher,” he declared, “all these I have kept since I was a boy.” (really? -- I thought Jesus just told us only God is good. This is very similar to the cast the first stone parable and others)

21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. “One thing you lack,” he said. “Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

(if you wish to be perfect and have treasure in heaven... sell everything but you will still need follow God if you wish eternal life.)

22 At this the man’s face fell. He went away sad, because he had great wealth. ( I think we all have to worry about this when considering how lacking in goodness we really are... so now once again how can sinners like us earn eternal life)

23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” (here is the point again)

24 The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is[e] to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, “Who then can be saved?” (rich or poor sinner or "saint" what does it take?

27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

(no one is saved on their own merit or goodness... not preachers not rock stars not whores not married people... we all fall short of perfection)

28 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!”

29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”

In short its not about the money or the sins, we all fall short.
Acting in faith on God's promises is that matters. Without God's grace none of us merit eternal life.

"Mark Chapter 10:21-25 21Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22At this the man's face fell. But Jesus said again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." Further read, Matthew 25:31-46: The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats. For those that don’t know this one the key statement is as follows:

41"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.' 44"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life”.

Quote from Ricter:

Just out of curiosity, while the old testament condemns homosexuality, what does Jesus have to say about it?

Nothing really. It would have been hypocritical for him to condemn homosexuality, as he was clearly gay himself.. Disciple = Socialist Butt Buddy. <a href="http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php" title="Smiley"><img src="http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-laughing024.gif" alt="Smiley" border="0" /></a>

Yes, I think you're having fun. I've read some of the new testament and I haven't seen anything to indicate Jesus was gay. I think if anything He might have been tapping that whore, actually.

Well you can never be too sure. And none of those guys are around to ask.

More total bullshit from you. Do you ever tire of being wrong. You are one fucked up dude. Jesus was all about helping the needy. This explains why you think two of the best Christians in the world are farces. You are simply clueless about what Christianity is. You are one twisted guy.

Jesus preached socialist principles. As you treat the least, so you treat him.
