Baby Girl's Throat Cut With Power Saw By Relative In Chicago: Cops


Police in Chicago are investigating the death of an infant girl whose throat was reportedly cut with a power saw.

The body of the child, who was said to be less than a year old, was found on Monday morning, according to the Associated Press. Police said that a 52-year-old female relative of the child, identified by several news outlets as the baby’s grandmother, used a circular power saw to cut the girl’s throat. The suspect allegedly attacked the child because she wouldn't stop crying.

The woman is also believed to have “shoved something in the baby's mouth -- possibly cloth -- to get the girl to quiet down,” police told The Chicago Tribune.

Police told WLS-TV that the woman tried to kill herself, and is in custody at Mt. Sinai Hospital. Both she and the baby were reportedly found by another relative.

Neighbors of the baby girl were shocked.

"They were really good people," Francisco Arreola, who lives next door, told the Tribune of the people who lived with the child. "I would always see them and they were very happy. I never heard them fight or anything ... They never had any problems."

That makes me so fucking mad. Those animals need to receive the same punishment - beheading by circular saw.

Lets see what this "good boy" was all about. Last April arrested for armed robbery. Evidently got himself a decent lawyer because all he got was probation and an ankle bracelet. Social media account has him referring to himself as a " real badass from the start till the casket shut". Any number a gang and drug references in his twitter account. Yep, sounds like a great kid, destined for big things. As irony would have it, his dumb ass would be alive today had he received the punishment he deserved for the armed robbery. Instead the system gave him a pass and to a thug that means go do whatever you please. Punk was destined for an early grave by the choices he made. Madison streets are a wee bit safer with another thug in the dirt.

Officer Matt Kenny, the cop who shot Robinson, has been placed on administrative leave while the police department conducts its investigation.

This is a bit untrue.... the reality is that most police departments place officers involved in a shooting on administrative leave until the department investigation is complete. This does not have to do with media coverage.

At this point the only white cops in black areas are of three sorts:

1: Too stupid or otherwise unable to get themselves assigned to a different precinct

I actually agree. Then people will see the bullshit that cops have to put up with when they deal with black suspects.

2) love fox news for many reasons
3) one of my best friends is a sergeant on the local force
4) my brotherinlaw is a fed officer (prefer the exact branch be private)
5) NRA member

being as that may..i think the police shoot to kill way too much. i realize they deal with the scum of society daily and that makes them see things a lot differently than a suburban person would..for instance my buddy simply trusts no one, thinks we are always lying ..and thats to his best buds! constantly they are dealing with the worst. the other day my police pal was T-Boned in his cruiser on the drivers side deliberately..luckily he had minor injuries.

but still i believe these guys are wrong in shooting in too many instances.

do i have a solution?

no...other than for now to work for a non lethal stopping scenario more often.

On this, I can see your point. However, the problem I have is that they (we know who) tend to martyr the deceased and brush aside their wrongdoing. Let's be serious, if they didn't attack a cop in the first place, there'd be no reason for a cop to draw their weapon at all, let alone fire on them. For some reason, society doesn't wanna talk about these black suspects being violent when approached by cops.
