Snuskpelle's (kind of) Intraday Adventures 2019

Some loose extraposition on the algo I intend to run: I designed it to do great when trend either changes direction from start (small loss) or follows through without too much backtrack (large win). Because it adds into trend, where loss will be big is if a lot of sub-trades are made that are later reversed. I expect to keep a degree of hands off auditory monitoring for regime changing news.

Trading app makes changing to a different algo trivial so I expect to add more additional algos for different market regimes eventually.

Also considering adding an account wide stop loss to be able to be 100% AFK through extended periods of time (like while being asleep).

Attached view from sim account. Obviously, crucial pieces of information are missing so I need to run my broker's trading app side by side.

Leaving it running on long trend on live account as a trial, thinking market is oversold nearest hours. Could also short Russell as a hedge but haven't tested running two algo instances at same time yet so abstaining.

Will try to make it post Twitter updates when I have time so I don't need to post trade messages here.
 
Temporary Internet disconnection immediately illustrated reliability issue of running this on home PC... -20 EUR due to changing positions around several times.

Also need to handle disconnection in app in better way than crashing to debugger, lel.
 
Closed at +450, don't trust this buggy POS while I sleep. Need to fix disconnect handling ASAP.

NAV 20004 (yeah, had a really bad streak acting like a moron last week.. hopefully have returned stronger since it pushed me into finalizing my first automation).
 
Wth can't sleep so started another long on HK33 just in the interest of testing. May well be late into trend but algo is supposed to handle that gracefully.
 
Trying a double algo activation while monitoring: Long trend DE30EUR

HK33 MAE -50. While manually cut if reaching -100 (stoploss is around this level anyway)
 
Eh forgot that I hadn't implemented end of session close. Anyway, position in HK33 is minor so no worries I think. But that will definitely lead to a Black Swan for my account at some point if I let it go unhandled.
 
Start long trend on NAS100/DE30. Probably late into it but had to eat my breakfast... US price data in an hour, will close positions 30 min before open and then potentially re-open after.
