Snowman's Eurostoxx 50 Journal

i've never looked at eustoxx50 before but dax. just wondering its range & movement similar to ES? i can see its daily volume is quite thick as ES...
 
Volume is fantastic. Concerning activity, its pretty global, sortof starting the first 1-2 hrs off the Asian action, then as the europeans wake up and euro data comes out the stoxx does its own thing until data starts coming out of the US and then follows US. Overall though, more in line with DAX. Its a nice contract to trade and less violent than the DAX so less risk I think.
 
Just one trade today. Market looked tired and formed a double top on a very small move from today's activity. Took +6 out of it. But almost took me out as price came within 1 point from the top.

Tuesday, took a trade which I scratched for +1. I really should have held on for a bit longer. I really need more confidence when I got it right. Price gapped down and it looked like the move was exhausted and would make a move to close the gap. Took the long but got scared as it wasn't my typical type of trade. Eventually price barely just closed the gap but still could have made a nice profit as price moved 9 pts up from my long entry.

Yesterday (Wed), I took +7 points out of one trade which appeared after what looked like a double top. I really wanted it to go to the POC before shorting but never made it. Didn't risk much as my stop was close above. Nice trade.
That top ended up being the top of the day.

Did a few scratched on Friday to fulfil my real-time trading account requirement (need min 10 trades to have platform for free).

Also got +3 from a long which failed. I prefer to exit rather than ride and hope. Not a bad week. Made +12 points so can't complain. Didn't feel like there were many oppties. Also I'm a little out of it due to some personal non-trading problems.

Got in too early and took a 5 pt hit at the top of the swing. If I waited a bit I could have made 5-6 points or gotten out at breakeven at worse. :( Missed 2 really good oppties the last 2 days which would have bagged some nice profits but was a away from computer. My absense from the screen prob led to today's loss. Need to get back in the groove.
