I hope the university president doesn't back down!

Free tuition, housing, meals, and books in exchange for athletic performance. When they choose not to perform they violate their end of the agreement.

I would tell them "whoever isn't at practice tomorrow will have their scholarship revoked immediately."

This nonsense has to end.

Devil's advocate here... maybe its the PC administration convicting these kids before they are even found guilty just because some hoe cried foul. She admitted she was having sex with two of them... I mean come on... she obviously has issues. Like the Muslim chick in the NYC subway that said she was attacked by Trump supporters.
 
I had similar reactions to both of you. I am beyond sick of ignorant college kids and their demands. I'm even sicker of administrators who encourage it or coaches who pander to them.

At the same time, I can't dismiss the possibility of some sort of Duke lacrosse team debacle.

Universities bring these animals onto what is supposed to be a safe learning environment however, so they do bear a lot of responsibility if they go feral. Universities have a choice. They can be Florida State and essentially tell them anything goes, provided the team wins. Or they can hold people responsible, whatever the consequences.

These days we have all understandably lost so much confidence in people running things that we are at a loss to know how to react.

Maybe they were running a train on her and she was completely for it...until she sobered up the next day??

But the fact remains that the rest of the football team that wasn't involved has no business trying to hold the University hostage when they are getting a free ride!
18-21 year-olds should DEMAND nothing from a school paying for them to perform.
