Volume has HUGE impact on how markets move. Usually low volume means low volatility as well. No volatility = no opportunity fo you to make money. But on the other hand market makers can do with the market almost anything during low volume because they don´t have to fight through all the limit orders. It is easy for them to move the market back and forth. This environment creates situation where when you enter the trade you risk a lot because of the strange quick movements caused by MMs and on the other hand the potential for your profit is low because of low volatility.
Volume is to be discarded as it is useless information. Volume has little or no discernible impact on price.

Dude that is merely your opinion, talking about the way the market react which we doubt you even understand, not about trends, which is the buy/sell imbalance ofcourse.

State your opinion once, then move on, this is trading, not bitching.

Please understand 'in your opinion' and leave him alone, he is right!

When we add the variable that is highly subjective called volume to our analyses, we begin to see things for what they aren't. Paralysis begins to creep in. Volume is to be discarded as it is useless information. What is important however, is making trades while limiting losses and letting winners run. Learn to be wrong and be ok with it. Get rid of volume as a "tool" for determining future price action.

That is not what he is on about he is on about the different market action caused by low volume, which makes it hard to trade.

Just cause you don't understand that yet don't force your view onto him.

He is right!

Prices can move a great distance on low volume. Prices can move a great distance on high volume. Prices can move a great distance on no volume. ---Prices can stay stable on low volume. Prices can stay stable on high volume. Prices can stay stable on no volume.
Volume analysis is an extra subjective variable that is to be discarded with respect to analysis of price direction.
