My guess is most of the people had not. Specially those who are advicing to keep things simple. If you learn how to read the tape (orderflow), new universe of trading will open up for you.
So the numbers i cant read are level 2 info, just put onto the chart live, tried that 10years+, seperate from chart couldnt read it and watch chart so epic fail back then.
No access to L2 info these days, cant think that quick so KISS works tor me.
I am not saying it is the only way you can trade and it takes time to understand what is happening on the tape, but when you do understand it, you are waaaaay ahead of most of the crowd. If you watch just the 1 or 2 min timeframe, what you see is OLD information. Always, even if you see the price ticking up and down. It is the outcome of the battle taking place in the market. And I am watching the battle as it is fought

5sma envelope range is enough for me to see the order flow thankfully, I would go madder looking at that, which is saying something.
How many seconds heads up do you think it gives you? Enough to see buyers and a lack of sellers and join i guess.
3.2.2015 trading results
Nasdaq proved again that it can live it´s own life and doesn’t care for correlation with otherwise correlating markets. Not really ideal situation for me. I tried to limit my risk to minimum, resulting in lot of missed trades but the strategy proved to be correct.
T1 This is perfect example of a ”sniper” trade. I placed my limit order on very conservative price level and waited for the market. I moved the order several times even lower reacting to the orderflow. Finally I got hit with quick spike. Market moved just single tick beyond my order limit and then climbed up very fast. As a matter of fact, the move was so fast that I couldn’t move my profit target higher and got filled at basic PT. Total time in trade was 8 seconds, heat 1 tick.+10
The moment when I was entering the trade:
T2 Aggressive trade from the same price level, but the market didn’t react as expected so I opted for quick BE+1 and dodged the bullet.
T3 I waited patiently for another opportunity. I missed couple of trades where the market didn’t return for my limit order, but that is part of the game. I enterd dirrectly into trapped bulls this time and took quick +8.

Well it depends. Think of it this way. We both see the markets ticking up and down real time. But when you see the tick movement, you see just the outcome of the battle which resulted in this move. And I see the battle developing. This gives me the opportunity to jump in low risk trades.
Do you prepare your entry zones before the opening bell? I do. Look how nicely is Nasdaq respecting them. (I am tweeting my preparation before I start trading)
Yep I can only react, after the fact where as you can see the orders stacking up hopefully in time.
