That's the issue, all these apps are built on advertising revenue including all the TV we watch, but who really even notices the adverts are there ??

Just like the 90's, the bubble will burst soon and anything not making money will disapear, including facebook ( still not making money ?? )

Good question.... My answer is zero times.....most ads I see online are for ads for something I already researched before the ad became available.... Which means. Say I decide I want to shop for a jacket...I head over to Macy's website and start looking at jackets...usually within minutes or an hour of me dropping the idea of even needing a jacket at that point because I didn't like the style or price I start seeing the jackets I viewed as advertising on other sites....I'm like really....the ads for me are just skipped over but from what I hear and understand those 0.0001% of people that do click on the ad or buy after looking at that advertising actually produce numbers for those who paid to have that advertising put there....aside from that just read an article about some kid who made like $300k in 2 months selling that new fidget device you now see all over the web....he said he scaled up and placed ads all over Instagram etc which helped him achieve those sales.....it cost him like $3.50 to buy from China and sell them for $20 and idiots actually bought them....go figure that one out...today you can sell practically anything to the dumb consumer of the USA and they will buy it.

I heard about this.... $900,000 in 2016 alone..im sure it will cost over a million for 2017....funny why he pays that much for security when all your pics are up for grabs...by the way those pictures don't delete...they are alllllll stored in big big giant servers all across the US....

I too don't have Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat accounts etc., but I think Facebook have created an echo system for their users thus they are/ can monetize their platform beyond advertising. I also remember right after FB's IPO the stock price had collapsed on the belief that FB's success with desktop users may not translate to mobile users but that apprehension turned out to be unfounded. I think FB will be around awhile.
 
I believe so too I just think that management is aware and working hard on actual products they can sell rather than freebies financed through ads. Google did the same. They harvested information that went into their AI products which they now charge money for. Business emailing, Google cloud services, Google hardware, Android, all are revenue drivers for the company aside ad sales. I think that is what FB is aiming at imitating as well. I have no clue what Snap has up its sleeve though.
