SMB Futures Tryout

For what it is worth, I got an email from Merritt Black saying that he is no longer w/ SMB, and is opening his own firm. The rules are even harder to accomplish. Firm called Apteros. SMB still has a futures tryout available it seems though....

Merritt Black is much better off on his own in my opinion

really it’s a function of

Daily loss limit

Max loss limit

Whether they use a fixed max drawdown Which is more like a real account or a “trailing max drawdown” which in my opinion is complete BS

and of course payout

example-

which do you think is the better choice for making more money?

1) an account with a $25,000 daily loss limit and a $100,000 max fixed drawdown and a payout of only 20% to the trader

or

2) an account with a $1,500 daily loss limit, a $4,000 max fixed drawdown and a 70% payout to the trader

or

3) an account with a $2,200 daily loss limit, a $3,500 trailing max drawdown (trailing Max drawdown is counted against either your unrealized or realized pnl high [whichever is less in your favor] And an 80% payout to trader

It should also be noted that a lot of the real prop shops pay a lot less, something like 20. However, they also don't charge the fees either.
