How did people ever survive trading remotely without smartphones? Must have been really impossible. Oh, wait, they made calls with their cell phones to the broker. My bad.

Let me tell you it sucked. Especially the telephone quote system used by Datek in the early 2000's. It's both a blessing and a curse. The IPhone has given so much freedom to trading. Yet at the same time it makes you a slave because of the instant gratification it gives anytime, anyplace making it hard to walk away from the love of the game.

I used to trade via DATEK back then aswell, bought a WAP enabled business Nokia so I could just about get live quotes eventually, good ti nahhh they where shite
