I want this trend to continue... Everybody should be able to place orders in the bus, train, taxi, waiting room...with nothing more than a crappy chart and a MACD. It's so cool... And people around you notice it..."Look that dude is buying cocoa in London, just like that"...Yoohoo...

When every stock " trader" in the US will opt for smartphone trading, a new era of profitability will start for us. When it comes to China, we will clearly make big bucks( Even with 8 screens, they can't figure what they are doing...LOL)

Just thinking out loud...Thoughts?
 
I do this a little out of necessity. It's extremely cumbersome. If there were a good app that would cut the load times and excess screen clicks out of the equation, I'd be very happy.
 
Indeed controlling your positions on a smartphone is really nice when you travel, but I would really like more real "mobile" traders. Like if every guy who spend 1/4 his time watching videos on YouTube/FB discover he can make money in the stock market on his favorite toy.
 
The mobile versions of Oanda fxTrade and IB TWS are perfectly fine for TA-based trading. If you're a scalper, or require market depth and fancy indicators then you're SOL.
My own trading is almost entirely option spreads. Can't be done on a mobile app.
 
Spreads can be setup on the mobile version of TWS. You have to first set them up on a watch list. I've done this on numerous occasions.

It looks like I'd have to pre-populate the watchlist with the specific options I'm interesting it.
What if I wanted to create a 3- or 4-legged spread from scratch from the option chain?
 
How did people ever survive trading remotely without smartphones? Must have been really impossible. Oh, wait, they made calls with their cell phones to the broker. My bad.
 
I literally day trade via my phone, prefer my 7" Tablet with 4G or better still my Ipad Pro 4G but hey, but if I'm bored and spot a trade on my phone, I'm having it.

I used a mobile phone / tablet pass through great charts and quick easy to use, but sadly they went there own way and stopped using FXCM :(
 
Since recently i trade solely from my iphone.Just getting alerts from my laptop at home and place/check trades via phone.Shoulda done that YEARS ago!!!YEARS, hear me?
