This has nothing to do with her being smart or successful. This is a communication issue and a personality conflict. This just shows she was not that into him anymore but didn't know how to break it to him because if she was into him, she would've 1) considered more carefully and consulted your nephew, her partner in life, in the first place of the consequences of taking a job half-way across the globe knowing that she's married to him and 2) been the one who commutes to see him if she couldn't stand being away from him.

Not all smart and successful women are like that. I hope your nephew find a woman that's more suitable for him and be happy.

Yeh, "anecdotal evidence" - that's keeping it scientific right theya.

This bullshiite complaint has been going on for years. Women who can't attract men come up with a big denial theory that hypothesizes that all their good qualities are intimidating to men - and men are too stupid to be interested in anything other than sex so have no appreciation of them. It is a sort of catch-22 for some of these women. They assert that men should be interested in women for the totality of their being, and their intellect, and companionship factors, and potential to form a good family etc. - never thinking that indeed many men are - at least when it comes to formal marriage and that is why they are eliminated. Their self-assessment is not necessarily scientific, eh? Lots of smart women are doing just fine.

I never get WHY people would want to ask 50 questions about some issues that's totally irrelevant to a relationship. You are on a DATE, not in a political debate. I find people just don't know how to date anymore. On a date, you are supposed to get to know the person, his likes, dislikes, favorite things, hobbies and etc.. You are trying to find a person to spend your LIFE with, not going to a political rally with.
 
I can see why the dominant one of the pair dates down. It is to be in control while junior carries the luggage. These days everyone tries to be the boss, perhaps mot realizing the helpers are a necessary part to most organisations.
An army is no good with only generals !
Very similar to employers who are scared of employing people of greater talent, who are likely to usurp them.
Not many men will put up with being put down, corrected and generally humiliated by the wife.
 
Will robots take over most female functions ? Just consider.
1.They never age
2. There is an off button for your own time.
3. Do what they are told. No begging necessary.
4. Never say NO.
