SLV trade

Quote from ForexForex:

When in-proper trading terms are used it shows a lack of knowledge and the rest of the story can be taken with a grain of salt. I assume you are quoting zerohedge and didn't come up with block instead of the proper term of contracts yourself. You should have noticed the mistake yourself instead of reposting it on ET.

I think you should admit your mistake now and move on.

A block can refer to any large trade in any instrument. When someone says that a 100,000 block traded in an SLV option, it means that there was a trade for 100,000 contracts or, alternatively, you could say 100,000-contract block trade.

You can find the definition from CME here.

Quote from ForexForex:

Is block the correct term for options? Shouldn't it be contracts?
Block trade refers to size. Some define it as shares and bonds. Others include futures and options.

Does it really matter?
