Site Problems this Morning.

Quote from Baron:

After thinking about this, I would like to alter the statement above. What I was trying to communicate is that there isn't much chance of the chat room coming back in the format it was running in before. Once I get these message boards updated and straightened out, we can brainstorm about how to bring the chat back in a way that will eliminate some of the problems we were having on a daily basis back in the day. So for example, perhaps the invitation-only model or some other type of constraint might be what's necessary to keep the chat room tight and free of daily troublemakers disrupting things for everybody to witness in real-time. All I know is that chat is a different animal altogether and needs to be treated as such.

Completely agree.

Invite only and some sort'uv qualification based upon the ET member posting history in ET's regular forum threads.

The chat room can definitely be monerterized--- I can see having free form but moderated daily market chat then several times a week have a sponsor or expert in a particular trading style field questions and comments. I'll be happy to work with you in managing this aspect of the site. It will add life to the site and ramp up the bottom line, the instant feedback must be worth serious coin. Not to mention having a seperate marketing environment.
