Right;At the end of the day, assuming you find a mentor to teach you his trading course, it still depends on the student being willing to put in the time and effort. As someone who is mentoring someone, my friend who is a doctor, nothing is more frustrating and time wasting than, the student not putting time and effort in learning the very basics like determining trend direction, observing proper risk management and position sizing, having a trading journal to review and evaluate your trades, learning the trade setups. Everything on a silver platter yet, the student has a lackadaisical attitude to trading. She will only do what she wants to, learn what she wants to learn and goes off tangent, wasting time on any shiny object she comes into contact with. Ed Seykota was right. We all get what we want from the market. Some people, you just cannot save from themselves.
Right;
And if you charged for your services you'd be a scammer!!
What kind of review would she give you?It is all free. A huge waste of time and effort. Time you cannot replace once, wasted is gone.
I try to grab something useful from any educational source I utilize to improve my trade. My system isn't any 1 specific thing I've copied from some book or system, but a culmination of many pieces I've come across tweaked to my personality.Seems like most are MY SECRET INDICATOR or HOW TO USE THESE INDICATORS. Obviously nonsense. Because you know, if you have a winning system, you definitely don't use it yourself - you sell it for $59 on youtube videos really.
But what would you ACTUALLY look for. Like, I feel like most of these are directed at noobs who think if I could just learn the best combination of indicators I would win.
Is there anything you would actually consider good in a course?
hahaha yes it isLiterally the worst trading advice ever.
Probably 98% of courses are useless and 2% are gems.
After 10 hard years of wasting lots and lots and lots of money buying shitty courses which have almost zero value, I think it is ENTIRELY your luck that you connect with the right guru.
Somewhat like the odds of meeting the right woman to marry, but these odds are better.![]()
There in lies the problem.
If it is a viable strategy it should work for everyone. If it doesn't work for you it is very probable that you are the problem, not the strategy.
It is said that you have to find a strategy that you are comfortable with, that fits your personality. But is it possible that what you are comfortable with doesn't work.
There for is information of a real trader that is willing to take you under their wings, priceless.
