Simple VBA IB ?

I'm thinking this is a very simple thing to do but I have not been able to figure it out yet.

I'd like to download closing prices through the DDE link. A few hundred tickers. I dont have a problem with the VBA code. Its just the DDE formula that I cant get to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

The IB demo workbook is a good place to get the relevent code.

However, if you're using excel 97 then two of the functions within the code aren't supported, causing the macros to fail.

They're not critical and if you remove them from the code it works fine.
