Additionally, VSA (Volume Spread Analysis) methodology was popular for many years. Of note, is that VSA (Volume Spread Analysis) survived the curse of trading method popularity.

I have come across his name twice now, so that's also reassuring to hear.

Do you have an opinion on this one, for the record I am long at 219. If my theory is correct then this latest downwards move from yesterday on low volume, is likely to correct?

Effort < Result, which could indicate it might have another go at the 245 resistance level?

Well this is annoying, my previous long trade with UDG Healthcare got bought out today at 1016.

I know you cant trade on hindsight, but I definitely had the wind in my sails with this one.

Hey. I've been digging deeper into VSA recently myself. I'm still fresh on the scene but I read the same book by Anna Coulling as well as a few Tom William pdf's floating around the internet.

I think your analysis on the above trade was right, but you got shaken out of the trade by trying to lock in profits due to a headfake.

Based on your exit, you sold on a day that saw an initially convincing move to the downside. However, upon further inspection, even though it's potentially the largest candle of the year, the volume isn't even the heaviest traded day of the month.... that's a sign that institutional money is not involved in the down move, and so retail traders are the only ones that are dumping their shares.

Granted the stock went a bit lower before it eventually reversed, but your analysis around the stopping volume was spot on and unaffected. Volume dried up further as price continued lower before eventually reversing and heading higher for good
