Scrappy as all hell but an easy 100 bucks on the ER from that first signal

It's the exits that I'm having trouble with.

I assume you got in on the ZLC at 8:34 - what triggered your exit?

I didn't like the way it blew down on me the next bar then shot up again... and it's a Monday with no data or news... never conducive to smooth patterns... you can almost always halve your target on days like this

Makes sense - Did you trade the ZLC at 8:54 with a 1 point targer?

Trader28,

Do you use the Macd Histogram at all? Or do you only
use the Macd moving averages? Or do you watch both the
histogram and moving averages?

thanks

No histogram, it really just tracks crossovers and therefore takes the critical zero line out of the equation

Thank you for sharing your chart set-ups and for taking the trouble to reply. I appreciate it.

Trader 28, from what I see some 400 pages+ down the line, your original rules and set-ups very much prevail despite folk adjusting some of the settings. It appears that they return to the original concept and that it is holding up well with the ER.

I've played with different indicator settings but I always
end up going back to the original settings. So now, after
all these months I am trying to get my set- up's exactly like
Trader28's.

Trader28, Do you use volume bars at the bottom of the
chart at all. You know, green bars for up/red bars for down?

thanks

Yep don't fix what aint broke, chop will still kill this system as it will any other so if you are going to spend time on anything, spend it recognizing when to trade and when not to trade

No, volume is important for longer time frames but I've never seen it make much of a difference to this method
