Simple Profitable Method

Wow, I think I just had an epiphany moment!

I've been looking at this whole thing to big. For example I had my
computer program set at 100 bars or 200 bars and was watching the whole big thing.

This morning I set the computer program at 50 bars and started watching the bars close up and personal. One bar at a time!

Then it hit me! Maybe I should be watching the bars close up and personal. Maybe the secret to this whole thing is to get close in and dirty with it. Really get into tune with it.

Also, I changed my program to bars and not candles. I am finding it easier for me anyway to watch the bars (open, hi, low, close) then the next bar.

Am I on to something here or do I have my head up my ass as usual???

Tough day. Barely positive after two trades. Should have gone for smaller targets. No more trades for me until we break out of this little range.

I've been watching this very closely.

On the YM (that's what I trade, also) if a person would have put on a short at 8:38 this morning when prices broke through the
9 sma at about 12030 and rode it down to about 12017 (8:44)
a person could have made some money.

But it was a very fast trade lasting only about 3 bars (6 minutes).

How crazy is that!!!

That's why I was saying maybe we really need to get close and personal with this and look at it one bar at a time.

Totality different than how I used to trade, not bad but different.

Just a thought...

I think I got spoiled by all the nice action the last few days. We broke the high shortly after my last post and I took two more trades both stopped out at BE. All four of these trades went at least 10 ticks in my favor. Still, I dont think I need to change anything. Nothing is going to work every day and it proves to me that my entries are good cause none of them went more than a few ticks against me either.
 
snarlyjack hindsight is 20/20. There was no signal to catch that first move down but I did take the pullback short at 9:50:32 which was a legitimate signal according to the system. All you can do is set your rules and follow them otherwise you will vaccilate endlessly.

p.s. Im on eastern time.

MORE charts in general would be a considerable help for newbies here - like me.

Your chart: which parameters are being used for these 2 averages (correct?) and what is "ZLC" etc.

A few explanations regarding this system discussed here would be appreciated.

Sorry Charly. I think Im through coaching. Im getting PM's asking questions about stuff that has all been covered here as are all the questions you just asked. Its all been answered several times and I have posted numerous charts. My comments if any from now on will just be conversation. If somebody asks something that has not been covered I will try my best to answer.

the amount of 154 pages made me ask this - though I fully understand your
point of view.

2-3 links to the right places - or just a few approx. dates - would be a
tremendous help.
