Simple Profitable Method

I've always started my charts at that time to catch any data/moves from the reports that come out at 8.30am, the charts are not really complete without the big news related moves that happen an hour before open, all part of the game

Yes, you did mention that a few weeks back.

Looking at it, the volume on the ER is pretty low, but it does give you some good signals in the first few minutes.

Thanks for the reminder.

I'm going to lay-off trading my account from 11:30a-1pm or so, but I will track it.

4 trades this morning.

2 winners and 2 losers for 1 point profit.

This is much easier when not trading during the lunch hours, as I knew it would be.

Without the 11:30a-1pm trades...3/5 and +2.50 points.

All lunch would have done was gone 2/4 and +.30.

I'm, also, keeping an "eye" on using the 9/18 ema as a directional filter per trader28's previous post refering to the "floor method".

I really want to see if I can get this thing nice and profitable with as few variables as possible.

It already has been profitable, but maybe a directional filter will help with the winning percentage and lower the whipsaw.

Since you are using the 3/10/16 you are probably familiar with LBR's first cross setup. There is a lot of resemblence to this method but Im finding I prefer the default macd as there seems to be less noise. The 3/10 does cross a bit sooner but Im not sure thats an advantage.

Some serious chop into the close here.....multiple signals, multiple failures.

The macd lines are all over each other with it being so flat, can't tell if there is a signal in there or not :p!

The last signal I see was around 14:05. What are all these other signals? I thought the signals were pretty clear today. I have 7 trades, 4 winners, 1 be and 2 losers. Total of 70 pts. YM. Unfortunately I am still doing these on sim.
