Default setting is 14 time periods in Metastock

ok out at 715.50 for 7 tick profit...70 bucks - commish

half stops all day today would have been good with 5 tick scalps...

I need a better ADX setting..perhaps ADX could be used more...

I would prolly stop for today knowing that this is a terrible chop day...

In the 2 min chart when the MACD MA crosses above the zero line do you initiate a buy when the fast line is above the zero line or will you wait for both the fast and slow lines to be above the zero line before initiating a long ?
 
Whoa...Spike! probably my feed...that will screw up the indicators...damn..i need e-sig (I wonder if these charts I am using have a filter???)

Was that spike real??, I just got off the phone and am told the feed came from CME...does this happen often in ER2, assuming it was real? any E-Sig users here?? Do you guys apply a filter and take away these spikes for your indicators to correctly work?

Was today just bad day to trade a system like this, or does this happen often and the object is to not screw up to bad? Seemed like price action moved directely away from signals call. Thanks for your reply when you wake back up. :confused:
 
It seems to me that almost anything will work when there is a lot of range during the day and almost nothing works when there isnt.
 
Well, I made $ 30 today real money testing this method with secondary trend signals that I pay for. I made this money on the er.

However, I went back and changed the method a little for the es, included the expensive indicators, and added some pivots, to create a working es trade that would have made me money if I took yesterday.

What I like about this thread is not so much the system, but that these new indicators combined with the paid for ones that they say are 75% accurate for overall direction, allows me to iniate a trade with more confidence and at a better time.

However, I am not going to get rich making just $ 30 per day especially when I keep paying for different trading things each month, but maybe its a start.
