I'm in the same situation as you. I want at the end of the day have all my attention oriented towards the little one. Having pending positions puts me sometimes in a bad mood, particularly that I'm not profitable at this time. Losing money is already enough to add losing precious time with the loved ones.
Besides the things that occur in our lives, it depends also on each one's trading experience. I know people who started swing trading stocks and were profitable, they have never thought about switching, or trying other time frames. But when you get burned on a specific time frame pretty often, it becomes more of a Pavlovian conditioning than any rational thinking.
