If Christ were like a stock, meditation would be like dollar cost averaging into this one stock toward a long term investment. This is a translation of the phrase " For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". Christ is like a stock as there will always be doubters as to the long term efficacy of investing faith (or meditation) in Christ to the exclusion of any other stocks, against advice to diversify among a portfolio. One's attention is one's treasure. If, through meditation and/or a special kind of prayer, you give attention to Christ, it's very much like investing your treasure in Christ/heaven with the expectation that you will one day own the entire stock/company. But first you must find this stock out of hundreds or thousands of stocks, representing peoples opinions about reality. You must find this world's best description of reality and start focusing on it. The more you focus (meditate/pray/pay attention), the more your ability to focus will grow, and visa versa. When you've finally invested your whole mind (all of your attention) in the right reality, then you (your heart) will have arrived at full possession of the stock. Possession of the stock happens when your meager faith is traded for the more powerful "knowledge of Christ". Because there are so many doubters, it's like picking up a penny stock, expecting it will perform like Berkshire Hathaway.
But i don't think anything i've said here reflects Christianity today, as it has evolved over some centuries.

Having a position in the market with skin in the game can accelerate learning, according to Anton Kriel, who also said, "Give a man a fish he eats for a day. Give a man a fishing pole he will probably have no f53king idea what to do with it."
As with the market, there are only two positions you can possibly take in regards Christ. Either you are, or you are not Christ. If you are Christ you are bullish (fear nothing), and if not Christ you are bearish (fear superstitions). This is a for-or-against scenario to choose from.
You really have to take the bullish position to be able to learn from anyone else who claims to be Christ. It's a long term position that anticipates the passing of an apparent physical world, yielding a longstanding spiritual world.
Currently, Christianity, as it has evolved, is holding a bearish contrarian position from the position held by the leader Jesus. All branches/variations of Christianity agree that they are not Christ, nor ever have been, nor ever will be, either to become, or simply to realize it as a matter of current fact.
Jesus became a fast learner because he accepted that his Self is Christ as a matter of fact, not even anything to strive for. In this state of acceptance, he encouraged others to follow his example. But not one Christian has accepted the same basic facts so as to follow the example.
One must take the bullish position to gather what needs to be learned to grow into the fullest acceptance, as well the fullest experience of the position (the big pay off). Without taking the position, it will not be possible to interpret messages (parables) coming from anyone who takes the position.

I tried to think of a similarity between trading and redemption, but couldn't come up with a realistic example. The only idea I came up with was a scenario in which a trader were to blow out an account (similar to our sinful condition) to such an extent that more money was owed than the trader is worth, leading to bankruptcy. Then the broker offered to forgive the debt and give the trader unlimited trading money (similar to Jesus' infinite righteousness offered to us). In that scenario the "catch" would probably be that in order to receive the unlimited trading account the trader would be required to agree to join with and work for the brokerage. For Christians, we enter into an everlasting contract with the Lord (covenantal relationship) and work for Him.

NO problem. In the Bible, redemption includes but not limited to, buying something back in the market place
