What exactly do you consider high margin? Most boutiques offer $500 intraday margin. which is an incredible bargain...until you blow out of course.

Can you trade the ES successfully?

I hope I can the last trade I made wasn't to successful that's why I want a smaller leveraged product

??? How will you be net long ES if you are using proper spread ratios? Also "make sure you get a good price on the YM" what exactly does that mean?

at 1:1 the value of es is larger than ym. The neutral ratio changes, usually something like 6:7, that's more than op wants to put on. Don't just willy nilly put on the ym at the market on close. At the very least buy the bid or sell the ask.

You can trade micro currencies at a dollar per tick. Low margin.
