Sim trading p&l 2009

The stuff I added to the mix last weekend has been killing me all week.. and it's a huge distraction too, I screwed up an order and was the wrong way and didn't know it. There I was, happily riding the trend and I look at the TWS and I was not only the wrong way but with two contracts instead of one.... this was the worst ever.... I'll tweak the system once again and set up hotkeys and make it easy to see the position at all times.. once again I'm glad it's not real money and I hope I can get this job down pat before the 90 day break in period is up. I'm one of those people that could always do your math homework for you in high school but couldn't handle a short order cook job... it's all coming back now.. .where are my meds...

I have another strategy I've been working on but want to let the results from the strategy I use now to play out and show me what to expect from it over time .
The other strategy only takes trades with the trend and I still have work to do on it . the strategy I use now and takes both trending and coutertrend signals .
The one I am using isnt producing big losers and so far the winners are 2.5 times bigger than the average loser .

it's very tempting to go live! i had set a goal of sim trading equities for 6 months before going live and i'm on my 5th month. gotta stick to that plan 
i made a little money last year trading the ES and if i could watch the market all day that's what i'd trade full time (work has been slow this week so i've been able to intra day trade. i love the ES but cuz of my job i can't day trade it anymore.

Still involved in the strategy development just a little bit, it's a distraction during the day. It's 99% complete. I still sort of can't do the job but I'm getting into it a little better each day.. I'm not unhappy with these results because looking back I see that to the plan I'd be up a lot..
I got fired from jobs before, in the ninety day period, one was the Post Office, I couldn't get up that early, the other was a short order cook position, I just couldn't keep up... trading in CA requires me to get up early and work like a short order cook so it's not my forte maybe.. but if I don't fire myself I can keep on until I'm good to go...

Next week I'll begin trading the trend ( strength ) following method . I ran it the past few nights on replay and it produces more scalps than runners but I dont have to take much heat to find out I should step aside take small stopouts and wait .

Went short 1 ES contract at 911 at this AM with a 914 stop. Added another at 908.50 and covered at 905.
I know it's still play money but I had a pretty good month, mostly from the ES this week. Brings back fond memories of last year. I'm back to my regular works schedule next week so it'll be back to stocks
