Sierra Charts trade from the screen?

quick question regarding trendline alerts. Can I draw a trendline (and alert) on a chart that currently isnt the active one on my chart window, or do I need to create for examples, 20 sub charts (1 for each symbol) and have them running in the background, in order to have the trendline alert be triggered?

This is my one gripe with tradestation so far. I can have a radarscreen with mulptiple symbols linked to a chart, but when I click to another stock, since the old stock in no longer "live" the alerts dont get activated, etc...

If you have a trendline on a chart and it has an alert, then it is only going to work if the chart is set to the symbol that the trendline is drawn on. Otherwise, if you change the symbol of the chart it will not trigger. The data necessary for the alert would simply not be present.
