Sick Feeling

Quote from MondoTrader:

don't worry about the zero sum game thing, there have been entire threads on that subject to no avail. The truth is it doesn't matter in regards to how I trade. I take the attitude that the market is a natural resource like the ocean and i am going out fishing. Some choose to make it into some kind of a battle, I don't see how that helps.

If I remeber correctly he sells a service, but he also made millions. That never adds up and I do not care how nice somebody is, nobody sells somthing that prints money.

Gann's right. You ARE God!!!!

PS: Everyone who trades should take (or at least study for) the Series 3. Said it before, and if this kind of nonsense comes up again, sadly I will probably say it again:(
Make it easy on me. Listen to Optional.

The thread was started because someone was feeling sick over ther market rally while a city was "being obliterated".

First of all Bagdad is far from "obliterated". Every missile and every bomb is going to a very specific target. THE ELECTRICITY IS STILL ON for christ sake! Watch the news, even CNN will tell you that this is precision bombing aimed at government buildings and military targets. We have journalists standing on roof tops and balconies watching the attack as if it were a fireworks display, in full confidence that their building is safe! If you want to see "obliteration" watch the history channel and see what europe looked like during WWII. ]

Let me get this straight. I make a statement on Friday which reflected my feeling that we were maybe celebrating a little too much as we began a major bombing campaign, and you are going to come back 4 days later and question the terminology I was using. While I feel this war is necessary, I am not going to celebrate everytime I see death and destruction.

By the way, thanks for the history lesson. I had no idea there was so much damage done during WWII.

Yeah, you can always learn a lot from Mondo. He's the genius that said "half the damn Democrats in the country should be in prison for sedition".

Pay real close attention to this guy's posts. Very worthwhile! Full of insight and brilliant observations.

"However, I've seen no real need for the US to be bombing Iraq. No threat to our country or others, from Iraq recently. I sure hope we find the evidence of weapons mass destruction they claim is there."

MonoBrainCell,

You can't discern the difference between questioning and being "anti"? He said he hopes they find WPM's...... I assume so he would feel we were justified in our actions. How would you feel if it turned out we went there, Americans died (not to mention Iraqi's) and in reality there was no threat. To anyone? What if Saddam turned out to be the Wizard of Oz? All flash and no substance?

I myself believe that Saddam is a very dangerous guy and should be deposed. And I am in favor of our actions, and back our guys 100%. But this doesn't mean I can't see that anyone hasn't the right to question. None of us knows for sure. (of course, just this statement makes me, in your eyes, guilty of sedition and belonging in prison).

Happy Hunting,

Well if trading is like fishing, then perhaps it is easier to go into business selling fishing rods and bait and then make a bundle from that and eventually go to the supermarket to buy your fish instead of sitting in a boat all day with an empty six pack waiting for a catch -- only to find out that it was Jaws about to eat you.
