You're not very well attuned to hyperbole, are you?

If you want to limit yourself to those stocks which meet your moral standards, that's your choice. But to imply that anyone who does not is a moral degenerate is just a tiny bit self-righteous.

If you think that certain stocks are immoral. Probably you think that making money is immoral as well, because if you win, someone else loses. And corporations are greedy.....etc.

All I can say is "what are they doing in the stock market anyway"?
And take all that righteousness to church where it belongs

How could it be self righteous when this is forum of opinion? My words cannot force you to do anything.

However, all money is not good money. If it were, you could a lot better buying and selling cocaine.

Righteousness was here well before church, sweetie. In fact, church damaged the concept.

I also see that you subsribe to the zero sum market theory, and this, IMO, is false. The other person on my trade may well covering short or selling longs at a profit. Many methods of making money can co-exist in the global market, and corporations are, on the whole, greedy.

Edit: I reread your post, you don't subscribe to the zero sum theory. Making money alone is not immoral, but greed and gluttony are.

I had a terrible week trading because every trade I was expecting something to reverse the market. My problem was in my own head so to speak.
Of course it is very upsetting to see a war news all day long. You would not be human if you did not feel something.

I make money in cigarettes, booze and greed. I trade ES. It is all in there.
Futures ARE a zero sum game. I looked it up.

It is not online, but in books.....Exchange Traded Funds and Emini Stock Index Futures......Getting Started in Futures.....Getting Started in Options.
They talk about if one person takes short, another one is taking long. So it is a zero sum game.
I do not think it is the same for stocks.

PS...I was not shorting, every trade was long. The general trend is long. I kept getting out on the wiggles.
