Shout out for the rmorse's of ET

Athletes and musicians seem to be over-represented among the successful traders I know.
Federer fan here
Enjoyed his match with Sampras; the year they changed the grass at Wimbledon but before it became unfashionable to come to the net! A poetic reminder that while we all have our chance, no matter how good we are nothing lasts forever and there are always eager young folks nipping at our heels. As it should be.

Really appreciate the sentiment of the OP. I've connected with a few great folks through ET and am humbled by the generosity of my elders and betters in this profession.

Although we acknowledged early on that I wasn't at the level of is target customer ( I kept reminding him of this.), he remains ready and willing to provide me with guidance.

Exactly the same boat as i was in xandman. I was not going to be their customer (anytime soon anyways :)); but still he did not brush the conversation away - which is why i wanted to thank him.

...Would you care to share specific details/numbers etc misc information on how your overall bottom line changed/improved? o_O

Sure lawrence-lugar. I am running a low 6 figure account and was getting limited by margin requirements due to having a regular margin account (cant have PM due to canadian regulations). I have played with future options before and did have a small position when we spoke as well, but i kind of did not consider that seriously as a replacement for spy positions. After that, now i am trading atleast thrice as big with about less than 20% of my money tied in margin (with roughtly 25% less delta risk actually).

This is huge; since a couple of times before i ran into not being able to make the necessary adjustments due to margin problems - and that stinks. Those problems.. no more. That itself is huge; and i have the ability to expand the business further if i choose to. Thats a huge deal as well.

best regards!

Just wanted to add my 0.002. Bob Morse is definitely one of the most knowledgeable and experienced brokers I've had the pleasure of meeting. He is generous with his time and knowledge which will directly affect your bottom line.
When a family member was unsure of what to do with their retirement account, I reached out to Bob and within minutes, he'd sent me an email with a contact and called me personally. The advice Bob offered was actionable and well suited to the person's risk profile.
Considering Bob's history on ET and his interactions with potential clients, I believe that Bob exemplifies what every broker should be: a fidicuiary who establishes a mutually beneficial relationship with his client. Sadly these types of brokers are a rarity in an industry which views clients as prey more than partners.

There are definitely other members on ET like Bob who add value to the community. I can think of a few who've definitely added to my knowledge of the markets: neworldmn(sp?), lescor, sle, rationalize, convexx, xandman, volpunter (with several caveats), the late Don Bright, Maverick74, Acrary, longthewings and many other frenemies who've been generous in sharing their expertise.
