Im surprise the sec hasnt monitored instant messages, emails, and electronic communications for insider trading. alot of the crimes committed today by the under 50 crowd is done through there now. And alot of traders to get around the recorded messages throught brokers use skype type, internet voice type services now.

Um, because it's illegal to routinely monitor communications?
Steve, all they gotta do is declare it's needed under the Patriot Act to protect the US and go happily bugging away.
If so, the DOJ ain't exactly gonna put up billboards about it.
