At that time the democrat party did indeed represent the confederate states terrorists.Democrat party no longer represents those people but Im sure you know that.
So did the confederacy but they get a pass and love from republicans because they were white and fighting to keep black people enslaved.

The racism from the people of the confederate south certainly did not.
There was racism in the a North as well. Those people in the confederate south died long long ago. Those monuments are there to teach lessons about HISTORY.

You and the thread starter are making the argument that supporters of terrorists groups shouldn't be allowed to own guns.If an ISIS supporter shouldn't be allowed to own guns than neither should a confederate supporter since they are both terrorist groups and the confederacy killed far more Americans.
