why day trading, while there are better way to make big money

Since most of you guys are short term directional traders, i advise to take a longer term approach..ie:swing stocks..work some options in there ..build slowly.

"Better" is too subjective and broad term. I agree that long-term investment in the right instruments is good approach, but why is that necessary oppose it to short-term trading?
