I think the Indians who call us on the phone posing as the IRS and demand we make payments to them with our credit cards should pay reparations to all the US citizens they scammed. Hundreds of millions of dollars they have stolen from us gullible stupid Americans.

You do know that many Jewish people do in fact get reparations payments from Germany since the 1950s that still continue today to the survivors of the Holocaust. I think now about +500 million dollars has been paid out since the 1950s and still counting.

Today there are about +161k remaining survivors still alive and still receiving payments from Germany. Their average age is about 85 years old today.

They are not the only ones too...other ethnic groups, and different races all over the world are receiving reparations. The reparations are either as check payments, land, social benefits, food, fast-track immigration back to their home country, housing, health care, education, and government positions.

A ex-girlfriend (Korean) in the military...her family (parents) were receiving reparations from Japan for the bullshit (murders, tortures, war encampments of civilians) that Japan did to Korea.

It's a fucked up world and she was extremely angry for what Japan did to her parents even though it did not happen to her.

However keep in mind these are examples of reparations being paid to people who are direct victims of the crimes or unjust system. There is no reasonable foundation for paying reparations to people who are generations later and are not direct victims of slavery, concentration camps, etc.

Sorry...I was not making an analogy to that.

Instead, Overnight mentioned a relative that was Jewish and implied there were no reparations. Yet, he did not imply the relative was a holocaust survivor that receives reparations from Germany.

Yet, most of the reparations that I know, are as you stated to be "direct victims of the crimes or unjust system".

Nobody should get reparations. All of these so-called "studies" to determine who's owed what are basically bullshit akin to pseudoscience. What I think we should do is start with the youth and provide equal public education across the board, no matter what zip code people reside in. Education really shouldn't be funded on the local level, but statewide.
