I doubt very seriously if Corky/Derek has any association with ET. The obvious answer he/she is just another paid troll. Which is the problem with the P&R section today.
As mentioned in earlier posts, confining all political discussion (being nice there) into the basement keeps the actual trading threads clean.
Corky/Derek is no worse than some of the liberal posters. exGOPer is notorious for posting filth. A couple of other posters contribute nothing, nothing except personal attacks. I guess it depends on your political persuasion as to what’s tolerated?
There was a time several years ago, the P&R section actually had some debate by traders. Today it’s been overrun by political operatives on both sides of the aisle, plus a few foreign interests I’d wager.
When a poster racks up a few thousand posts in a short period of time, it’s an agenda, they’re here for a reason.
The only problem I see is that the known posters on both sides of the camp...
Although the heated threads are occurring in the Political section, some users are now posting some of their messages in the regular trading thread section
or even mentioning / reference a heated argument in the regular trading thread section as a way
"get back at someone" from the Political thread section...in the hopes that it will go unnoticed.
- Essentially its a temper tantrum
I've seen this done in the Journals, Technical Analysis, Economics, Hook Up, Options, Commodity Futures, Strategy Building thread sections in which a poster makes a reference as a
"get back at someone" for an argument in the Political thread.
- Simply, there's an obvious spill over that's been going unnoticed for a few months
A few of these individuals are
not citizens of the United States
nor a resident of the United States but debating / arguing about United States Politics. Lets you know there's an agenda and makes you wonder whom is really behind it and why such is being tolerated here at trading forum.
Strangely, some of them have been members for many years and making hundreds of message posts. They know the rules of the forum and how to navigate around the rules.
I think just to wait it out until the U.S. elections has completed and then monitor to see if the heated debates continues and there's a continuation of spillover into the other threads...
To signal / identify whom to BAN and delete every one of their posts.
The latter is important because its just a Political thread...it doesn't hurt the forum to delete all their messages and ban these traders when they start to spill over their crap into the other threads in a covert way to
"get back at someone".
