Should US open economy sooner in May or wait more.

A lot of Europeans countries already partly open for businesses or looking to open.
We have advantage to watch and analyze. We have protesters against open. We have protesters against to stay closed. From one side stay close impact the economy, to open may or may not cause more aggressive covid19 expansion.
What we should do?
I went back home from PA to NJ and can say like I came from different planet.
Btw CDC stated death rate is .3, flu rate is .1.

Trump: if it comes to second covid19 wave US will not close for business.

US start to test around 500k covid19 per day. I’m wondering how much we need per day.

Opening will not stop or slow down the corona virus. Will only spread it. Use your brains. There will be surges and re-surges, more deaths..but hey people working right?...people playing right? Check out sweden. Check out brazil.
Silver.. look for independent statistic it contradicts to your opinion.

Someone who compares Sweden to UK without regard to international mobility or population density is either employing Trumpesque level of analytical thinking or politically biased. If you want to compare Sweden, compare it to it's neighbors who have similar culture, geography etc.Norway and Finland together has more population than Sweden. But they have 1/8th the fatalities. There is no evidence of any herd immunity. In short what Sweden did is plain stupid.
What is in your opinion we should do?

I would agree but one ignorant person could come and made dozens people sick.
Think.

I get it, but we just need to flatten the curve not prevent every human from catching the virus. Just like we can’t prevent people from dying of cancer, car accidents, overdoses. So that being said, again Montana should have a different approach than say other more dense populated areas.

Shutting down the economy was pretty much based on the numbers coming out of NYC, which is apples and oranges.

Nicely formulated, you know what you stated, basically US was closed based on NY complications. Wow such a simple thought but such a great one. A big big mistake to close all states. You got it!

Boy do I ever hope I am wrong. I would be VERY pleased to be wrong but I fear the stats are wrong..MASSAGED..incomplete...and things are only going to get worse during summer...fall and winter.
