We have advantage to watch and analyze. We have protesters against open. We have protesters against to stay closed. From one side stay close impact the economy, to open may or may not cause more aggressive covid19 expansion.
What we should do?

I'm with Musk, there is no reason his staff can't return to work.

As long as he's not forcing anyone over 85 or with serious medical conditions back to work, which I'm sure he isn't, then on 10,000 staff he's unlikely to get a fatality in his staff.

US open for business states status.
It is already 31 US states are partially open for business. All red states already opened.
Still 19 blues states are not open yet.
However soon on May 15th many states will be partially open : Ore, N.Mex, LA, VT, Ver, and D.C.. Minn on 5/17; Mass on 5/18. So 7 more states will get to 38 states partially open.
More restrictive open will be done by the following states : Wash 5/11; Wis 5/25; Ill 5/31; KY 5/31; Mish 5/28; NY 5/15; Conn 5/20; Del 5/31. So by end of May will be 46 states partially opened.
NJ on 6/5; VA 6/10; MD not specified; CA not specified.
