Should US open economy sooner in May or wait more.

A lot of Europeans countries already partly open for businesses or looking to open.
We have advantage to watch and analyze. We have protesters against open. We have protesters against to stay closed. From one side stay close impact the economy, to open may or may not cause more aggressive covid19 expansion.
What we should do?
NJ governor Murfy opened parks. It was no parking space available in parks this Saturday.
Those all what NJ have opened so far.

Governor NY Cuomo: 1.7 m people came from Europe to NY on February.

That is a 24 hours (4 am to 4 am) report not a daily death. Nobody else is reporting May 1st being the biggest number (by no less than 500 deaths), so I am not counting it. Also some states may have rebalanced their numbers and added some from the previous days.

Again, this would be a huge news, yet no major network reported it. So let's stick to the close to 2K number.

"The WHO data differs from data collected by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which does not report historical daily Covid-19 deaths. The CDC’s site says that 2,349 people died in the U.S. of Covid-19 on May 1. "

I believe US is underreporting cases in Florida and Texas to align with Trump's message of the worst being over.

Everybody is under reporting BOTH numbers. Because of only sporadic testing, we don't know the real already affected people's number either. It is much bigger than what is reported. In some communities it can be 25% already.

The real death numbers will be known a year from now, when we compare annual death data and we will see the increase.

So the question is because of insufficient data: Which number is MORE under reported, the death or the affected?? If the first, the virus is more deadly, if the second, it is less deadly.

Since May 1st twenty states already partly opened. Exposed and death counts - the sources coming from independent hospitals and summarized by John Hopkins University. So it should not be underreported.
We are talking about 20 states in total. I’m realistically pessimistic, however in my opinion, we past the curve. Therefore The total number of exposed will increase. However, delta should be in range with past.
So, it will be in “acceptable “ level, sadly.

If these are all up to paar, we got no problems. uh huh.

Number of exposed people sure more underreported then deaths. In my opinion at least as much total or more than exposed reported.
NY antibodies test shows 15% vs we have 3% of NY population.
Means could be 5 times more exposed then we have.

All red states should open immediately and all blue and purple states should sit back and watch.
That what we have! I’m living in blue state NJ. What I can say. NJ opened only parks so far. All parking lots filled with cars in parks. People behave as crazy. Sick and tired siting at home. I can tell you, if NJ governor will not open beaches on Memorial, crowd will “eat him without salt”.
Moral: sooner or very soon all states will be open, dude.
This is not my agenda, but this is life.
