Should Trump Pardon Obama?

Hang them high, gentlemen.

I want prosecutions, indictments, arrests. Old Hill still has a target painted on her back.

Trump needs to survive this, get on the offensive, purge the Obama shitheads, survive that, then make arrests.

Media always the enemy and in the way.

People, myself included, have drawn comparisons to the Bush administration, where the left wanted Obama to prosecute Bush and Cheney for war crimes. The analogy is not very useful, because Bush was acting to protect the country. If he overstepped, it was for a very good reason and most americans supported him.

Obama's undoubted wiretapping of trump and associates was done for political purposes. It has been compounded by an attempted soft coup by Obama loyalists in the intell agencies and media. We can debate whether there were warrants or whether the trump people just happened to be overheard during legit taps. The fact is that it was done, Obama made it easy to distribute it throughout government and leaks followed. One man's career was ruined.

It is crucial to get to the bottom of this whole pile of fish. I doubt congress is up to the task, since they are either in it with the CIA or too compromised. Trump needs to appoint an investigator with full subpoena power to unravel it all. How about Gen. Flynn for that job?

Sessions May Appoint Outside Counsel to Investigate Obama's DOJ

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is not opposed to appointing an outside counsel to investigate the many scandals of President Obama's Department of Justice and IRS.

To jog your memory, recall two major, yet underreported stories - "Fast and Furious" and the IRS targeting of conservative groups. Attorney General Eric Holder was held in contempt of Congress for covering up the former scandal, in which the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) unfathomably allowed illegal gun sales to and from Mexico to track drug cartels. As for Obama's IRS, they unfairly withheld tax-exempt status from groups who dared to oppose the president's agenda, and subjected them to extra scrutiny. Matt had interesting news on that just this morning.

In a conversation with radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday, Sessions left the door open for a special counsel to take the lead on the investigation into these Obama-era scandals.

“Well I’m going to do everything I possibly can to restore the independence and professionalism of the Department of Justice,” Sessions said. “So we’ll have to consider whether or not some outside counsel is needed. Generally, a good review of that internally is the first step before any such decision is made.”

If the counsel finds wrongdoing, it will have the authority to bring charges, Sessions noted. He insisted it will only come to this if he concludes it will be necessary to restore the "independence and professionalism" of the department.

Sessions recently had to overcome his own controversy for not disclosing his meeting with Russian leadership last year, eventually recusing himself from any investigation into Russia's supposed interference in the 2016 election.

White House Demands Congressional Investigation Into Obama's Abuse of Power
timthumb.php

President Donald Trump is calling for an immediate investigation into Barack Obama's handling of intelligence gathering tactics leading up to the 2016 election.

Press Secretary Sean Spicer wrote on Twitter Sunday morning that until Congress completes an oversight investigation, the White House will not comment any further on the matter.

"Reports concerning potentially politically motivated investigations immediately ahead of the 2016 election are very troubling," Spicer said. "President Donald J. Trump is requesting that as part of their investigation into Russian activity, the congressional intelligence committees exercise their oversight authority to determine whether executive branch investigative powers were abused in 2016.

"Neither the White House nor the President will comment further until such oversight is conducted," he added.
This news comes just one day after President Trump took the weekend by storm early Saturday morning, claiming that Barack Obama had his "wires tapped" at his home and office in New York City during the election.
“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” he wrote. “Is it legal for a sitting President to be "wire tapping" a race for president prior to an election? Turned down by court earlier. A NEW LOW!”

I say why the hell not. Go ahead and pardon him. Trump can use alternative facts as the basis for the pardon.

From what I have seen Trump's volley of nuclear weapons into the middle of the Russia fray has had its desired effect. It has completely distracted the left from its attacks and has practically muted them on the subject. They no longer want "to go there".

Exactly. How much of the sabre rattling between USA and Russia is real? And how much is contrived to throw cold water on the trump Putin connection ? We all think the same way. Putin and trump know it's bad for both of them to appear Cozy. Seems half is for public consumption to throw the scent
