What happened to the system where people wait in line and have to meet certain criteria that benefits the country? This is just an open border policy. Do you see how much money it costs to bring in all these people and then provide food and shelter? Its of course ok as long as someone else pays for it, right? The immigrants of today are different than 20 years ago unfortunately. Then when there is no room, the city asks people to open their homes, and its crickets. So all the people who have no problem with the open border, why don't you open your own house?
But it honestly doesn't matter. The collapse is already set it stone... we are just waiting for the trigger.

those people crossing the border illegally don't get to vote. So there's no benefit for democrats to bring them in. I still think most of those immigrants are good people looking for a better life.
Virtually all American's agree something has to be done about the southern border. However, building a wall isn't going to work. Separating kids from their parents is against American values. Putting kids in cages to be sexually abused is too. So what's the solution... no one has a real one yet.
Actually, from what I read, the Dems are trying hard to either fast track the rules to let them vote, or restrict the necessity of ID so that they can sneak in. The entire open border policy isn't to give people a good life, its to bring in people who will ensure the Dems stay in power.
This just came out yesterday. Kamala says requiring ID to vote is racist, for requires it for her own rally. (I assume for security sake) Does it get any crazier?

I think it's because Republicans are very focused on culture. They say they are agnostic to color and race, but the reality is that their body language is very much the opposite. You are different and always are on the outside. My parents we democrats who always liked business savvy republicans (like Mitt Romney of GB 1).
There might be some games on that side that I don't read about. On the other hand there are very few ballot boxes in black neighborhoods in texas.
Getting into a rally is not a fundamental right, but voting is.A lot of poor people don't have ID. They don't drive and certainly don't have passports. Getting an ID costs money. Should they be denied the right to vote?
On the other side, the Republicans say that owning and carrying a gun are fundamental rights. But there are no guns allowed at NRA events or Republican events. Does that get any crazier?
Fair enough point. But honestly, if you're too poor to even have ID, will you actually be any good at making an important decision? Clearly you just vote for who gives you more stuff. And this worked ok for a long time, but now, there are millions more people in the country who need everything for free, and this is all happening while even Americans need free stuff too because they can't afford the necessities of life anymore. The US collects about $4.5T in taxes, and yet, $2T deficit is necessary to keep the economy going. None of the free stuff is actually free, and there is nobody left to pay for it. Hence, buy Bitcoin. They can't print that.
A lot of rich people vote republican because they get free stuff.
The point of a democracy is every gets a say despite their financial situation. To suggest otherwise is unAmerican.
We spend 2 Trillion in interest alone.
I do think the interest expense is about at 1T, but is almost the biggest single line item, if not already the biggest.
Democracy in many ways fails eventually from what I have learned because you can't keep voting for free stuff. The best government is a small government that just protects property rights and lets states or cities handle most other things. But this clearly isn't changing any time soon. Who knows, maybe after the elections, the country will split into red and blue states.
But either way, the destiny is set. The trajectory is so clear, we just don't know if the catalyst is war, or Japan, or who knows what else. But I truly believe the current system cannot be saved. A fiat system is the problem, and when you can no longer tax, or print or inflate, its a messy transition.
