Should school kids be issued guns in America?

Nope. Did not say that at all. Just gave my direct experience living in a state where just coincidently, the entire state was not a toxic culture so the statistics for that state were very favorable while gun ownership was extremely high.

Otherwise you cannot use state numbers. Illinois's Chicago problem is not necessarily true for other Illinois communities. New Jersey's Newark is not necessarily true for all of New Jersey. So on and so forth. Some dem states are all dem and the masters are dem too. Massah living one life but their plantations livin another. So you cannot do just your usual red state- blue state analysis. Not that anyone can stop you because that is what you do now that you are born again into the world of dem bootlicking.

Guns are a problem everywhere now but not because of guns but because America is growing and developing a lower quality person. As I said, the Dem Plantations are Exhibit A. There are other exhibits too.

More guns in the hands of lower quality citizens and people is definitely a problem. And the collapse of society is definitely creating more lower qualify violence prone people. And dems are right at the forefront when it comes to the collapse of society.

Then parents can use their vouchers to send kids to those schools if they are satified with them or not, depending on safety and all the other issues related to schools.

I was not following the thread and did not see that it was focused around large scale school shooting. I see or hear or about the issue of guns and school and safety, and as I said to Usual Tard, my mind goes to the day in and day out matters in neighborhoods and schools around the country as well, especially on Dem Plantations. Some white kids might die in school shooting in Colorado or elsewhere and we hear about it for years. But if the same number are shot in a weekend in Chicago in combined incidents, nothing to see there.

Actually the violent neighborhoods of cities tend to have shootings outside of schools and on the streets. Safe suburban schools are where many school shootings really happen. Just looking at schools it is not "dem plantations" as looking at all school or movie theater shootings, they happen everywhere.

I think i have agreed to that a couple times over. I said I came into the thread late and did not see that it was more about mass school shootings, whereas when I think gun violence I think more of the chronic "violent neighborhood and going to and from and in school gun violence" to your point. Thus I went off on to the school voucher topic. I have not been watching TV so my mind is not ginned up on this recent shooting unlike others who are commenting.

I think I have clarified that a couple times over- not sure it will help though.

I don't have much interest in grinding through another gun ownership/rights thread. As I said, I entered the discussion for another reason so will leave it at that.

Having said that and acknowledging that your interest is sincere- I just don't want to do it for the hundredth time- I will offer one item up in reply to your question.

Last year, and about every year. The fed-run gun sales background check system rejected over 300,000 applicants, mostly for having felonies in their background or some negative behavior.
Most of those rejections were also based on the applicant's background being "discovered" rather than the applicant stating it on the application which would be an automatic rejection. In other words they lied on the application, a felony.

At the same time, only about ten people a year are prosecuted for lying on such applications and it is almost always because they are being charged for some other crime, and it is stacked in there by a prosecutor. Otherwise. It is just a "no" to your application and have a nice day.

There should be, by law, a requirement that action is taken on every single on of those rejections. All of them. To find out what is going on. Even cutting a copy of the rejection to local law enforcement. That is a large, large pool of people who are up to no good or in violation of the law, not only by lying or attempting to purchase but because you will find that many of them already possess other guns but are felons.

Innocent mistakes or confusion does happen on many applications and that is fine too. A guy is asked about felonies but did not really know whether his shoplifting when he was younger was felony, he thought it was a misdemeanor or thought that since he was a minor it was expunged. Whatever. Not saying evryone needs to be locked up. Just that each rejection needs to be understood and followed up on or referred locally for more consideration.

Well that is an idea that may actually deter a goodly amount of people. I don’t know if it will significantly reduce access to guns on the black market or address mass shootings though. These are the areas that need immediate attention.
