Why would it be disturbing? No one really turned into salt. It's just a made up story, and a not very good one at that. I wasn't disturbed by Snow white and the seven dwarfs either. Should I have been?

I believe that "Snow White and the Vertically Challenged" is also acceptable.
Although, truthfully, I am not sure. That "snow white" stuff sounds like code talk for white supremacists to some. Be careful. A thoughtless comment could cause a lib to be scarred for life.

That's all fine but the folks who made up the bible stories didn't know about nuclear weapons. Feel free to believe whatever and read into bible stories what appeals to you. There are many Christian Denominations, and they all have somewhat different interpretations of various Bible passages, some radically different. So there is no shortage of versions to choose from, or why not come up with something unique on your own" There is a lot of money to be made in peddling religion. You could become the next Jimmy Swaggart. (www.jsm.org/) Those suffering from schizophrenia seem to be good at Bible interpretation, and a new interpretation can be the foundation of a whole new Christian Denomination. Maybe hire a schizophrenic as a consultant.
