shorting this market today...

if youre shortting this market today... the only way youre going to get filled is by buying married puts... then shorting... i ve been waiting on some short executions for what seems like hours and theyre robbing me .50 cents here and .50 there... just a lil heads up...

Your kidding I hope. No uptick rule on ETF's. If you don't have bullets it's your only viable option sometimes. :-(

If you don't know what ETFs are, pick up the latest issue of Active Trader. It has a good article on ETFs.

 

[Tech Analysis]

ETF = exchange-traded fund. QQQ SPY DIA etc

No uptick for shorting. Same for the iShares (HOLDRs) SMH BBH etc. They make for quick short entries when the market's dropping fast and you can't get filled on stocks.
