Shorting Financials

From what I understand, 10 days and then they have to option to extend it for another 20 or 30 days or something like that.

I cannot believe this market anymore, this is just getting to F$%ked up, I mean what is going on here.....Im telling you this is going to bring on great problems in our economy, anyone who thinks this is a great move is crazy.
 
What a ridiculous government biased action! This is completely against free market philosophy. The US government is becoming a dictator. "I want it goes up, so don't SELL, but BUY!".

A ban on short without prior borrowing makes sense, but not a complete ban like that.
