You obviously are way out of touch with history. Typically only 5% to 20% of a citizenry and their actions SHIFTS proper change in a misdirected government. This is about psychology, when a certain amount of the population shows a willingness to SHOW NO FEAR in the face of insurmountable circumstances......then there can be a short term opportunity for a bigger movement to develop.

Citizens would obviously lose many battles but they would still have the potential to win a war of perception. You also need some ability to defend your family as a society breaks down from those around you. Many I know own weapons to defend against a societal breakdown.....NOT to take on the 1st CAV in the neighborhood.

No 4.0 as undergrad. 3.17 I believe. I worked full time as a Police Officer, was (still am), married, and had to pay the bills, but did well in College despite the above.
I went through USMC OCC @ Quantico, and became a Commissioned Officer.
