Quote from Trader0062:
OK so a guy that calls the high and low ticks of the day sucks, well if you read the comments from his gold and premium members they would seem disagree with you totally on Oscar's call since July LOL....
And I remember your posts they where total inaccurate and they made no sense at all. The way you was using the Omni was totally wrong and I remember you were asked many times to stop posting false information on the Omni. but you insisted on continually posting false info and trying to discredit Oscar and it seemed that you had so kind of agenda for doing this. There are still post on the site asking to you stop and why you should stop. And why should any one believe you?? You are a very irritanting person and other members did not care for you comments in the forum and in the chat room and many compaints were lodged against you. So maybe this is why your posts were deleted, but I guess that would not make any type of sense to you.
And any serious trader would do there own research.
So I would say I would believe members of the site anyday then a person with a agenda.
And any serious trader would do there own research as many of his paying members have already done.
So aka newtrader that is where the truth lies.....
Ignoring the serious language deficiencies in your post:
1) OMNI is presented as a timing mechanism. It obviously sets the tone for all Oscar's trades. If it doesn't help the equation, it can be discarded.
2) Oscar makes no attempts to quantify his results, in spite of some who asked. I took up the task.
3) Every time there was a little green arrow, Oscar was bullish on the day. Every time there was a little red arrow, Oscar was bearish on the day.
Further, I said that Oscar's entry/exit triggers were not included as part of the study.
4) Newtrader (me) said clearly that he added up the daily results for all the green arrows (up) and all the daily results for all the red arrows.
5) For Jan, Feb, March, April, the monthly results were quite good. For May, June, early July, they were quite negative. They have stunk since.
6) Numerous people on that forum independently posted how bad the results were during this time, also. In fact, many forum posters gave up and disappeared.
7) There was nothing inaccurate, as I gave Willie also agreed that I was quite clear about everything. OMNI staff and a few posters just said it was inaccurate, but this was obviously because it was unfriendly to the site.
The study was clear, accurate, and thorough, and was without any flaws. I offered to send in my results, but that was never taken by OMNI. It was easier to cry "foul" and then delete the threads.
Oscar only deleted the threads, because it did not present OMNI in a positive light.
There was no agenda, as I said clearly. There was a statistical test. OMNI badly underperformed the S&P 500
If you notice, no one ever found any flaws in the study, they just SAID it was flawed, even though they never counteracted a single point of the study.
OMNI is free to counteract this with their own quantification of the track record, but obviously they have not attempted to do so
