Short-term trading with Oscar

Quote from xiaodre:

You sure got that wrong. Here's the point:

"Wareco stated that the ES never traded below 1413.50. Never."

"Never" as in it never traded below 1413.50 at the time oscar said he was long below that price. If you have proof to the contrary, I'm all ears. If not, do try and keep up.

<snipped for brevity>

As for the rest of your psychotic verbiage, I liken it to one of those college/academia exercises where they try to prove that real isn't real, nevermind the obvious.

Come on, you can figure it out -

Simply a time zone problem, my original post should read 9:10-9:30 Eastern to assist those who struggle with the concept of differing time zones in the world.

This happens to be 10:10 to 10:30 in my time zone.

You posted 3 times (in my timezone):

05-01-07 10:24 PM
05-01-07 10:26 PM
05-01-07 10:28 PM

So, my mistake. You were posting one hour before Oscar took his + 7 points in the S&P.

Damn I hate living in East Asia with this +13 hour time difference with NY!!!!!

OK, apology accepted!!!! :D

Yes indeed, what I still don't understand is that he puts a trade out to take the night before, and then takes the entry or very close to it, but almost always exits before the target gets hit such as today.

Good point!!! There was a discussion on oscars thread yesterday about this very subject. When oscar was exposed for waffling, he lost his cool and essentially called the poster a pig. What a class act!

Oscars true colors are starting to shine. A successful trader takes what the market gives and no more. They are the bulls and the bears. Those who try and take more by trying to find every top or bottom are the "pigs", and they usually end up getting slaughtered. Trailing stops does not make you a pig.

In summary, oscar leaves a lot of money on the table.

There are some low lifes who are barely profitable, hanging onto their last pant threads, who think that if one more person "out there" becomes profitable, that's less "opportunity" for them. Outsized ego meets pea brain. I've met a few in my trading career. The last one was a geeky pimple faced college drop out who thought he was the reincarnation of Einstein. He blew up once his holy grail stopped working.

Classic 101!!! Can't refute the message? Attack the messenger!

Where does he state that he can't make his mortgage ?
The fact that he remained there 25 years either means he had really deep pockets or he actually made money. You don't last long in the pit unless you can trade. My guess he was one of the many who was forced to leave the pit as electronic took over and he was not able to transition to the screen trading his own money. Maybe he suffers from " led paws syndrome " and can still make the calls but can't pull the trigger so he has resulted to the website. Borsellino was one of the greatest spoo traders of all time and even he now runs a paid website. What is oscar's true intent ? Only time will tell.

How can someone make you money when they are unable to do so for themself? It seems oscar failed as a trader, panicked when he became financially strapped, and then decided to sell his wares. The internet is full of these charlatans.

Oscar and his team are pissing all over your leg trying to convince you through smoke and mirrors that it's raining. The motive??? He has a warehouse full of umbrellas he wants to sell.

More like, stops are in, common sense is out.

The koolaid drinkers are only proving that the dumbing down of society is nearly complete.

"...wasn't sure what happened..."

Exactly. On both sides.

As for you stealth trader, here's some college wording for you: septupal posts for the win!! Seriously, I'm really glad you are into prediction. How about trying to predict some market tops for us?

Stealth, I saw that thread on Oscars board yesterday. The OP was very polite and professional with his question but Oscar flew into a rage and slashed the guy in the nuts. I have to ask: what happened to that "nice" guy in the videos?
